It is very important that you have a strong WIFI connection in order to be able to participate in our classes. Refunds will not be given as a result of students being unable to join an online class due to technical difficulties at their end.
Behaviour in class:
It is expected that students will behave and act appropriately and respectfully at all times. If this is not the case, they will be removed from the class. No refund will be provided.
6 week course:
“The Course" means our proprietary online tutoring service known commercially as "The Six Week IELTS Band 7.5+ Booster" offered over a period of six (6) weeks, commencing on the agreed start date.
The cost of the course is £275 per student.
There are a maximum of 6 places/students per course.
The course must be paid for in advance of the chosen course start date. Payment for the course includes access to all online classes and notes, with personalised feedback provided during online classes.
If a payment fails, the system will automatically retry up to three more times over the course of a few days. However, if payment is not successful before the student’s chosen course start date the student’s place will be cancelled and offered to another student on the waiting list.
The student will not be permitted access to the class or notes unless payment has been made.
No refunds are available if a student is absent from an online class. If an online class has to be cancelled due to teacher absence a partial refund of 10% of the total cost of the course will be offered.
Please note that unused classes cannot be transferred to another student, or course, or be used as payment for a resource or individual class.
Students will be able to access the notes from that class and all details of the homework in order to catch up before the next class.
They can also email us if they have any questions at [email protected] or send a message using our Contact page.
A minimum of two students is required in a course to qualify for the agreed group class rate. If fewer than two students enrol, you will be given the choice to either: a) pay the higher one-to-one class pricing of £70 per hour,(a total cost of £420 for the 6 weeks, paid upfront), or b) receive a full refund of the £275 course fee.
Individual one-to-one classes are priced at £70 per 1- hour session and must be paid for in advance of the class taking place and are subject to availability. Please contact us here to enquire about availability.
Learning a language requires time and consistency and this is why a commitment to completing the 6 week course is required.
Courses are kept to six students maximum in order to ensure that the individual needs of students can be met in class.
Our classes are meticulously designed to facilitate the progressive improvement of students. Sporadic attendance cannot be accommodated.
Logging onto classes and accessing notes:
The class will be run via Zoom weekly for 1 hour, each week for 6 consecutive weeks. Please take note of the day and time that you have been allocated.
Students will be able to access both Zoom and Google Drive where the notes are stored via the student dashboard on this website once payment has been made for classes.
Students should access the class via a laptop or PC as we may ask students to log into a Google Drive document to complete exercises during the class.
If students log in to the call via a mobile or tablet, they must download Zoom onto the device or they may not be able to access the call. In order to be able to complete written exercises in Google Drive during the call, a laptop or PC is required. If there is a problem accessing a laptop/PC, please make us aware in advance of the class.
All notes will be stored in Google Drive in an account that we will create for the group. Only the students in that class and us will have access to this account.
Students are not permitted to share this content with anyone outside of the group.
Students will need to have a standard Gmail account in order to access Google Drive.
Students should have Google Drive open at the start of each class.
Attendance:
All students have been assigned a time for their allotted group slot.
Please make sure you are logged on in time for classes as classes will start punctually. Late arrivals can be disruptive.
Due to the small group setting of our weekly classes, we appreciate 24 hours notice if a student cannot attend. Absent students will have access to material covered and homework assigned for the next class so that they can catch up on anything missed. If there are any questions, the student can contact us at [email protected] and we will respond as soon as possible.
Our classes are live and take place on a weekly basis. Classes will not be recorded in the event a student cannot attend.
Students are not permitted to record any aspect of these classes.
As above mentioned, students will have access to the material covered and notes provided during the class with a clear outline of what they need to cover for the following week. If they have any questions, they should feel free to contact us. Students should aim to consistently attend classes.
Speaking Test elements of IELTS:
If outside of our scheduled classes, a student wants to receive feedback on their IELTS speaking test preparation including reviews, speaking test practice, mock grading and advice on content, this can be arranged but will incur an extra fee. Please send us an email at [email protected] for information.
Refunds and Cancellations:
There is a 14-day cooling-off period during which you can request a refund after signing up for the course. If any classes have been attended during this period, the refund will be adjusted accordingly. After this 14-day period, the fee is non-refundable. By completing your purchase, you expressly request that The Course service begins immediately during this 14-day cooling-off period
If a student misses a group class, credit cannot be carried over to another course. No refund will be provided.
Students will have access to class material in order to catch up, as outlined above.
In cases of billing errors or other exceptional circumstances, please contact us at [email protected], and we will review your case.
If a one-to-one (individual) class is cancelled, at least 24 hours notice is required or no refund / change of class time will be accommodated.
Consistent cancellations of (one-to-one) individual slots may result in that person’s time slot being assigned to another person or group. In order to avail of an individual time slot, weekly attendance is required.
